Quick guide to online account opening

Go to the Online Application form by clicking on “Apply Now” button:

Then, select account type > click on “Start Application”.

2.

Fill in details then select “Online Account Opening” for account opening method.

3.

Scan your MyKad and record a selfie video.

4.

Complete the account opening e-form.

5.

Transfer via FPX from your other bank account for initial deposit.

6.

Once you received your Debit Card, activate it to unlock a world of benefits:

7.

Register your CIMB Clicks ID and log in to the CIMB OCTO App. Scan to download now.

The QR code will direct you to your respective app stores based on your device to download our app, and you will not need to submit any personal identifiable information or data.

You are eligible to open an account online if you:

are a New-to-CIMB customer

without any existing CIMB accounts or products

are a Malaysian aged 18 and above

with the latest MyKad (featuring both large and small pictures on it)

have valid contact details
which include:
  • Malaysia-registered mobile number
  • mailing address in Malaysia
  • email address
are able to make FPX transfer

from a Current/Savings Account/-i with internet banking in your own name at another bank in Malaysia (as the initial deposit for your new CIMB account)
