What is an INI?

INI are deposit certificates that are linked to various investment themes. Investors have the preference of depositing their capital for a pre-agreed tenor.

Referenced to different assets/reference underlying, INI provides potential profit while limiting risk of principal/capital. These potential returns/profit will depend on performance of these reference underlying/asset classes.  These reference underlying/asset classes include:

-                      Profit Rate

-                      Foreign Exchange

-                      Commodities

-                      Mutual Funds / Exchange-Traded-Funds

-                      Credits

-                      Indices

-                      Equities

-                      A combination of any Shariah-approved reference underlying or any asset class*

*The reference underlying or asset classes offered at CIMB are approved by the Shariah Committee

INI are principal protected, meaning your initial investment are protected as long as you hold the product until its maturity.
