CIMB Islamic Safe Space Program K.A.M.I.

Mental health awareness among the vulnerable community is an important social issue especially during the recovering phase of COVID-19.

CIMB Islamic together with programme partners Thrive Well and Teach for Malaysia supported the CIMB Islamic Safe Space Program K.A.M.I with the aim to address the importance of mental health issues to the targeted vulnerable community by curating a self-sustaining local peer support network to improve their social and emotional well-being.

 

About 1,500 residents of Taman Bukit Subang, Seksyen U16 had benefitted from the programme.

 

 

Flood Relief Assistance

Together with programme partner Yayasan Belia Malaysia (YBM), CIMB Islamic contributed RM500,000 to provide financial assistance to about 600 families and 1,000 school children from the B40 segment affected by the flood across the country in 2023. To date, CIMB Islamic has contributed over RM1 million for the flood relief assistance.

 

 

Harapan Ramadan

CIMB Islamic collaborated with two main partners, Islamic Relief Malaysia and Yayasan Belia Malaysia as well as other charity homes to provide assistance in forms of food pack and cash voucher to the vulnerable communities across Malaysia in hopes to ease their burden for Ramadan and Hari Raya celebration.

 

In 2023, CIMB Islamic contributed RM1.6 million for the Harapan Ramadan programme which benefitted about 28,000 beneficiaries. 

Program Keusahawanan CIMB Islamic – Taylor’s

Launched in 2017, Program Keusahawanan CIMB Islamic – Taylor’s (PK) is an entrepreneurship programme with the aim to provide financial assistance in the from of business grants and entrepreneurship trainings to selected micro-entrepreneurs from the B40 communities who are struggling to kick-start their small businesses.

For PK 2023, CIMB Islamic supported this programme with total cost of RM270,275. To date, over RM3 million has been contributed by CIMB Islamic and 500 individuals from the B40 communities has benefitted from the programme.

 

 

iTEKAD CIMB Islamic Rider Entrepreneur

CIMB Islamic iTEKAD Rider Entrepreneur is a programme launched in 2021 to provide sustainable income generation and financial resilience to the underserved communities during COVID-19 by providing motorcycle grants and entrepreneurship trainings. This programme is aligned with BNM’s iTEKAD umbrella initiative to assist the asnaf and B40 communities to generate sustainable income through social finance initiatives.

CIMB Islamic provided seed funding of RM300,000 for the first batch of the programme. For the second batch, CIMB Islamic and Yayasan Wakaf Malaysia jointly committed a Waqaf contribution of RM300,000 to support the programme. To date, over 60 individuals has benefitted from the programme.

 

 

CIE IIUM - CIMB Islamic Entrepreneurship Programme (iTAAJIR)

iTAAJIR is a programme launched in 2018 to provide entrepreneurship trainings and financial assistance to micro entrepreneurs from the underserved communities. CIMB Islamic provided funding of RM 556,950 for iTAAJIR 1.0 and RM 400,000 for iTAAJIR 2.0. To date, over 90 individuals has benefitted from the programme.

 

 

Melon Manis Agropreneur

CIMB Islamic signed a tripartite agreement with Yayasan DiRaja Sultan Mizan (YDSM) and Universiti Sultan Zainal  Abidin (UniSZA) for the Melon Manis Terengganu (MMT) Graduate Agropreneur Programme. CIMB Islamic will provide RM350,000 for the construction of two greenhouses for the production of rock melons. The programme will provide comprehensive training and development for university graduates to tap into agriculture-based careers and opportunities, while contributing to the market development of Melon Manis Terengganu (MMT).
